settled in

well, i'm back from all my travels, which were most fun and settled back into wyoming. it's pretty great actually. i'm housesitting for two different people this summer in really nice places--walkable to everything (when's the last time i could walk everywhere?!) it's also really green here now (due to the constant rain.)

i'm not sure whether i'll be blogging more or less in the next month or so pre-thesis defense. i guess that depends on how the writing's going.

either way, i assume this is what it feels like to be on a writing retreat--beautiful and quiet place to live, lots of free time, not many distractions (no tv or anything like that and almost all of my things are boxed up and in storage. plus, though i'm feeling somewhat less sick, i still can't walk more than 20 minutes or so--which pretty much knocks most of my running, hiking, tennis, soccer, frisbee distractions off the list for now)

it's nice to be settled for a little while. this is my first summer in the states, well, in awhile.
