house

well, i rented a house in missouri. it feels really strange--last night, i panicked. just for a minute--but i had to sign a two year lease, which is a long time (the longest lease i've ever signed.) in the middle of the night, i woke up and thought, what have i done? am i really ready to move to missouri? also, am i really ready for a house on my own?

things have been really great in wyoming (besides all this sickness)--but i've genuinely liked the people and area a heck of a lot and moving now seems like the most ridiculous thing i could ever do . but at the same time, it seems like the right decision.

my friend kristin once told me that some people are pre-grievers and some are post-grievers. i think i'm a pre-griever; i get saddest about a place right before i leave it. but i guess, i get sad about leaving it later too. my first semester in a new place is usually really hard. but then i generally genuinely like wherever i am.

i was just telling someone that the risky decision isn't always the right decision. but at the same time, i'm realizing, for me, i've avoided a lot of good things, simply because they didn't seem like a safe move. i like to have a safety net.

2 more months in wyoming first, though--months i'm going to fully enjoy.
