looooooooooong day

i feel as though i'm getting rather complain-ey on this blog, so i'll make this short.

but it seems as though my day today was a long series of unfortunate events. i woke up and tried to turn on my ipod--which didn't work. then i tried to turn on my computer (which has my thesis on it, mind you)--and this also didn't work. in the panic of losing my last drafts of my thesis, i knocked gatorade onto the person i'm house sitting for's bed--red gatorade--which stained the mattress (of course.)

anyway, after the initial panic i finally reasoned that the computer was gone (it was 6 after all) and that i probably have printed copies of at least most of my essays. so i drove down two hours down to denver and bought a new computer (which cost a very pretty penny). then on the way back from denver, my car died. thankfully it started again after a few minutes and got me to fort collins (but not back to wyoming). it already has a new-ish battery and the oil was just changed three days ago. good heavens. all this when i'm supposed to be cat-sitting. so, i have a fill-in cat-sitter for tonight and am crossing my fingers (aka praying) my car will be be easily and cheaply fixable tomorrow so i can get back on my way. my week is much too packed (with two really important doctors meetings) for a broken down car and/or computer. good grief.

pray pray my praying friends for a working car and good appointments! it seems this semester, if it can go wrong, it has.
