here's my first loaf of baked bread. (well, part of it's been eaten.) it turned out a little thick-ish, but still pretty tasty! onwards to my semester of baked bread!
i'm also (finally) about to read philip gourevitch's book, we wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families. i've been wanting to read this for awhile, but i had to rush near the end of the year to get my first 20 book goal done. i didn't want to rush through this one.
speaking of new books, anyone have any suggestions of things i should not miss reading? so far on the docket for this semester are aimee bender, rebecca solnit, beth loffreda, lorrie moore and antonya nelson. i've also been toying with reading the collected sherlock holmes stories.
