in the latest string of beth's medical mysteries: i went to a dermatologist today. the two bizarre things we never could figure out related to me being sick last year was that i lost my eyebrows (well the sides of them) & i started getting this weird rash on my hands and feet. my wyoming doctor and i thought it was exczema and it may be, but since it has gotten worse (though most everything else has gotten better), my doctor suggested i go see somebody.
the good news is it turns out there are eyebrow growing steroids (who knew?!) let's hope they help!
the bad news was, right then and there, my doctor decided to biopsy my hand (think big needle, scissors, lots of hand blood: gross.) sadly, it was my right hand and the knuckle of my middle finger. so, for the next twelve days (until i get these stitches removed) i will be in a constant state of flipping people off.
the real hassle, though, is that i'm a write-by-hand-writer, which certainly isn't happening. even typing like this (mostly left-handed) is tiring. i suppose i'll have to do a lot of thinking about my ideas. anyway, i hope this leads somewhere!
