church network-for profit

i used to frequent the relevant church network. (well, perhaps "frequent" is the wrong word--more or less, i looked at it when moving and when i occasionally wanted to check out a different kind of service to visit.)

but a couple weeks back, i decided to see if there were any good churches on there in wyoming, and lo and behold, most of the site's erased. Relevant Mag decided that churches now have to pay a fee (monthly I believe) & apply to be on the network. imagine: having to apply to be labeled "a relevant church."

i understand that they're looking at this as advertising bucks, but it seems totally bizarre for churches to have to fill out an application and get ranked on their relevant-ness, then pay to be up on the site. i have this strong hunch that most truly relevant churches would have little interest in doing that.
