thankfully for me, i get to see allie in just a couple more weeks. (the one great benefit of now living back in the midwest.)
allie is a pretty funny kid. i thought i would just give you a short list of what allie loves:
1. dog bones
2. tennis balls
3. laundry baskets
4. ziploc containers
5. her talking caterpillar toy
and what allie hates:
1. wet leaves. (see photo). last time i saw her, she accidentally put her hand on one while she was crawling across the yard. as soon as she touched it, she yanked her hand over her head. but then she couldn't figure out how to crawl without both hands, so she just teetered in the air on two legs and one arm until steve finally rescued her.
2. red balls. who knows why, but she hates red balls of any kind. she's scared of them. all other balls are fine.
3. tissue paper. she's also afraid of tissue paper (all colors). she doesn't like looking at and she doesn't like hearing it. if there's tissue paper in a room, she'll crawl to the other side and whimper. poor kid: no tissue paper for her birthday gifts.
