i got to see allie this weekend (we call her "bug.") i can't believe how much she's changed--she's almost walking now (last time i saw her, she wasn't even crawling.) she's a really happy kid, too. it's great.
i was not, however, prepared for the drive. googlemaps said it would take 7 hours to get to milwaukee from here. i think they didn't take into account that the first 150-200 miles are all on country roads. anyway, the drive took closer to 8-8.5 hours. it was brutal. on saturday night, we ran up to appleton too, to go to my grandfather's birthday party. all in all, between thursday and yesterday, i spent about 20 hours in the car. way too much for a weekend.
